I feel no doubt I will fail the AP Stat exam. I recently had a lapse of memory of just about everything we’ve studied and so have not been able to mostly anything we’ve been reviewing lately. It’s like I had a math stroke. It’s pretty bad. I’m feeling pretty confident about AP french and gov though. So at least there’s that.

The Godard Fiasco

In 1968, an excited audience awaited the arrival of Jean-Luc Godard, who had been invited to open a series of (…) lectures at the National Film Theatre. Instead, they received this telegram.
100 members of the audience accepted the offer to have their money returned, while the remainder stayed for a screening of Godard’s Vivre sa vie.

While I’m amazed with much of the music we have today I really wish we could have music as exciting as rock and roll again. Music that started revolutions, got people excited and feeling alive. I think music, and film as well, need a revolution of thought. We need people who want change and excite change in people like Bob Dylan or Jim Morrison. That’s what I hope for the future. Not further technological developments that estrange us further and further from each other but people with ideas and forms of expression that bring us together and incite new thought.
